What better than to take a Louisiana Boy & a Canadian Girl, take them to Charleston & take some BE-U-TIFUL engagement photo’s!!! The result – Below :) Can’t wait till the wedding in June!!! It’s gonna be Epic!
Kristy & Tom are definitely a couple that makes each other better. When you meet them they really have an energy together that just makes you want to smile :) From the engagement Session where we were able to incorporate their fabulous pooches to the very elegant, yet down to earth affair put together by Sara McCall and her crew with Stunning & Brilliant Events at Pine Lakes Country Club they were SOOOO much fun to work with!! Thanks to all the vendors that helped make it fabulous: Croissants Bakery, Little Shop of Flowers, Eventworks, Tru Soul Band, & Carolina Limousine
All that glitters IS gold!!! Especially when it came to Margot & David’s Wedding! Still in love with all the glittery details from Margot & David’s wedding and so excited that The Wedding Row Grand Strand loved it as well! The Fabulous Sara McCall with Stunning & Brilliant Events introduced Margot & David to me and instantly I knew this was going to be fun!! This couple is insanely sweet and totally in love it was just a breath of fresh air to work with them. The day of the weather was less than cooperative but after a tornado warning and rain for most of the day just after the ceremony, she cooperated and we got to go out on the beach for some really fun pix. The bridesmaids dresses are still some of my favorite!!!
Check out this fabulous wedding on The Wedding Row Grand Strand!!
SOOOO excited about Jessica & Michael’s Engagement on the fabulous destination wedding blog Borrowed & Blue!!! This couple was one of the most fun I have EVER had!!! They live in Brooklyn, NY but got married at Wild Dunes Resort in Beautiful Charleston South Carolina! When they came down for their engagement session it had been threatening rain for days and I was really worried it was going to completely rain us out! When I called them they said rain or shine we were going to get it done! And you know me I’m up for anything when it comes to creative photography ;) We did have to duck in out of the rain a few times but as you can tell this session was SOOOO worth it!!! Jessica & Michael have the BEST chemistry and they just exude sexiness & fun!!! I believe they are true soul mates :)
Thanks again guys for being so amazing & fun!!!! Check them out on Borrowed & Blue!!
Thanks to The Wedding Row Grand Strand for posting Abby & Bradley’s wedding from April 20th 2013. This was a stunner of a wedding with more DIY details than you can count!!! Abby & Bradley and their families built couches, framed pictures, and potted flowers for this fabulous rustic chic wedding at the Peanut Warehouse in Conway South Carolina! Check it out Here! Thanks to the fabulous vendors: Carolina Entertainment, Bloomers Florist, Coccadotts Cake Shop, David’s Bridal, & The Peanut Warehouse
Soooo – I recently joined Pinterest in the last 6 months (follow me here :) and I can’t believe I waited so long to get on it!!!! I have enough projects right now to keep me plenty busy! My favorite is finding furniture and refinishing it. I grew up with my Dad building furniture, among other things, and so this is right up my alley – you could call it my zen :)
My latest project I am especially proud of and it is going to make a GREAT prop in my studio for Little Black Book Boudoir by Carolina Studios!!! For those that don’t know what boudoir is check out these beauties. And just so you know these are real women not models (even though they look like models ;) :
I am so excited about this new venture and we’re taking bookings anytime just email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 843-446-9233 or contact me here: We can WAIT to get you in front of our lens!!!
As we were working the Annual Bridal Show yesterday at the Myrtle Beach convention center – I was looking at my booth with all my new artwork from this past year and got to thinking about all that happened in 2013. As with any year there is the good, the bad, and inevitably the ugly :) But since I’m a glass 1/2 full kinda girl – we’ll just stick with the positive. Especially since it was the MOST AMAZING year for us!
1st of all, I have the MOST AMAZING CLIENTS EVER!!!! I know that everybody says their clients are the best but I really mean it :) My clients are the MOST fun, MOST exciting, MOST fabulous, & they allow me to be the MOST creative I can be! I appreciate the fact that I get to go out and photograph the MOST important times in peoples lives and give them everlasting memories. I’m sorry that’s just SO cool to me! So a great big THANK YOU to all of my past clients and to all my future clients – just for being you :)
2013 brought me my 1st win in an international competition!!! December 23rd I got an email from the WPJA that the 3rd Qtr results were in for their image contest. I was scrolling through the images – 12 – 13 -14 AND – THERE IT WAS!!! I am pretty sure I made it out of my chair in one swift movement! My husband must have thought I had gone completely mad – especially for interrupting his Rocky Movie :) I have entered this contest many times but not won anything. The competition is extremely fierce and 10’s of 1000’s of images are submitted from all over the world. Several of WPJA members are Pulitzer Prize winning Photojournalists, so to be in their company is humbling :) There is one more contest this year and I’ve got a few that I hope will be winners :)
We opened up a real studio this year – which was fun but A LOT of work!! We’ve been enjoying seeing a lot of babies, boudoir, and families in our studio this year and I can’t wait to see who shows up this year! We’ve got some new backdrops that I am DYING to try out :)
On a more personal note – my youngest daughter Sophia turned 3 and Bradley at Cravinley’s made her the MOST AMAZING cake for her – so thank you Bradley for that ;) Also my oldest daughter Alexis turned 9 (which means next year she’ll be 10 and I’m not sure I’m ready for that yet!) and started 3rd grade so we are now getting grades in school which I think made it more real for her. But she’s doing well and I’m very proud of her for making all A’s and B’s on her 1st report card! Joe and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary in 2013! I tell him all the time that his survival skills are pretty amazing ;) Just kidding – he really is the best friend & husband that anyone could ask for and I am looking forward to many more years with him :)
A Great BIG thank you goes out to my 2 fabulous assistants Chuck & John that helped me with shooting the majority of my weddings this year. You guys really are amazing and I couldn’t do it without you. But when I did have to do it without you thank you to Cathy, Kayla, & Michael for filling in beautifully!! I also want to say Thank You to all the venues, wedding planners, cake artists, hair & makeup artists, dress shops, & Dj’s that we worked with this past year. This year we had weddings in Charleston & Myrtle Beach at some of the most beautiful venues around. In Charleston we visited Magnolia Plantation, Boone Hall Plantation, Marion’s in the French Quarter, Creek Club @ I’on, Patriots Point Marina, Wild Dunes, Pepper Plantation, Alhambra Hall, & Downtown Charleston is always beautiful!!!! The Grand Strand offered us Pawleys Plantation, Brookgreen Gardens Avenue of Oaks, Grand Dunes Ocean Club, Marina Inn, Litchfield Plantation, Conway Riverwalk, Peanut Warehouse, Greenfield Plantation, The Breakers Resort, Pine Lakes Country Club, The Dunes Club, Springmaid Resort, The Surf Club, The Hilton MB, Atalaya @ Huntington Beach State Park, & The Tilghman Boyce Cottage. Whew . . . we did a lot of driving around this year :) It was all so worth it though! A special thank you to Leslie Menich of Memorable Moments, Sarah McCall of Stunning & Brilliant Events, Morgan Gallo Events, Elegant Ocassions, & Della Ramsey for your FABULOUS work organizing all the super fabulous weddings for our MOST AMAZING CLIENTS EVER!!! Plus my favorite vendors :) – Carolina Limousine, MGladden Designs, DJ Scott & Company, Little Shop of Flowers, Cravinley’s, Global Truth Entertainment, Greenskeeper Florist, Croissant’s Bakery, Incredible Edibles, David Jacobs, Joe Durivage, Blossom’s Events, & Little White Dress for making each event special.
So here is to 2014 – May it be even better than 2013 which is going to be very hard to beat ;)
